On March 9th our team here at Blue Oyster Environmental boarded a plane and headed down south to Savannah, Georgia to join our oyster community and learn more about this great industry that we call oyster farming!
The symposium kicked off with The Director’s Welcome Reception located at Service Brewing Company. From there, the next two days were fully aligned with discussions on a variety of topics related to the oyster industry. Our very own Jordan Shockley, CEO of Blue Oyster Environmental and Hoopers Island, led a discussion on “Tales from Wet Storage.”
We ended this great experience with a trade show, where we were able to make many connections with different farmers.
Overall, Oyster South was full of delicious oysters, great people, and valuable information that we can’t wait to begin implementing here at Blue Oyster Environmental & Hoopers Island Oyster Co!
